We have officially entered our 2025 Sharks Swim Team season! Practice begins next Monday, May 12th! Coach Jessica will want to have a quick Meet and Greet with every age group before they get in the pool. Please arrive ready to jump in and swim.

We have a few important dates we want everyone to be aware of.

1.Team Photos will be on Monday, May 19th @ 5:30pm. We would love for everyone to be a part of the photo! We have partnered with Joyful Day Photography this year for team photos. She has made it easy for everyone to sign up for an individual time slot for pictures and our team photo will be at 5:30.

2. Dive Certification will be held Wednesday May 28th at 8:30. If you are new to swim team, Dive Certification is required for every swimmer 12 and under. If your swimmer does not get Dive Certified, they will not be allowed to jump or dive off the dive blocks. Please be aware we are doing Dive Certification a little differently this year due to time constraints.

Ages 4-8 will be practicing at their normal time, 8-3:30. At 8:30, our Dive Certification Instructor, Mark will be arriving to begin Dive Certification for the swimmers. If you are a 4-6 age group, you must stay after practice for this session. It will not last long. Ages 7-8 will arrive at their practice time, and Dive Certification will be held at some point for your swimmer during their practice time. If you are in the 9-12 age group, PLEASE ARRIVE AT 8:45. Mark will Dive Certify your age group as soon as he is finished with the littles. Parents, please be sure you do not leave practice without confirming that your child has been Dive Certified. This is the day before our first meet and the only session we have been able to schedule with Mark so plan to be there! In the past, swimmers have been allowed to also get Dive Certified on their own time at Gold's Swim. That is not an option this year, as Gold's insurance policy has changed.

3. We will have a parent meeting at every age group’s practice on Thursday May, 15th. Parents, please plan to stay at this practice as we will be discussing how the season runs, meets, volunteer requirements, etc. and answering any questions you may have. It will not take long.

4. If you have not signed up to be part of our Remind 101 class, please do so. Once practice begins we will be utilizing the app for short updates and notices. We use this app heavily regarding weather updates, so it is important you join. Text @tlshar to number 81010 to join.
